Horizon Rebate Offer
As you may have heard, Horizon 2 is now available exclusively in the Mac App Store. Unfortunately, this creates problems for the upgrade process, and we can not seamlessly upgrade owners of Horizon 1.x to Horizon 2. What we can do is offer a rebate of $20.00 to all registered owners of a Horizon 1.x licence who purchase Horizon 2 through the Mac App Store. This means that you can upgrade to Horizon 2 for just $9.99.
Why would I want to upgrade?
Horizon 2 in a major step in the evolution of Horizon. The edit area is gone, and cells are now edit-in-place. Repeats are now built in to each cell, and they are all 'infinite' in that they repeat until you stop them. Each day on the calendar can zoom to twice its normal size, making it much easier to work with a large number of cells. The new 'shuttle bar' calendar navigator lets you zip through the months, and quickly return to the current month.
You can try out Horizon 2 by downloading the demo from www.lucernesys.com. Horizon 2 can open your Horizon 1.x files, so no conversion is necessary. We think you will find Horizon 2 a huge jump in terms of features, usability, and style.
So how do I get Horizon 2?
That's easy! Upgrade to Mac OS 10.6.6 (or higher) and you'll get the Mac App Store installed. Open the App Store and search for Horizon, or go to 'Categories', choose 'Finance' and click on 'Horizon'. Or, just click on this link.
How do I get my rebate?
To obtain the rebate ($20 US) we need three pieces of information:- Proof of ownership of Horizon 1.x - This is just your Horizon 1.x licence code, which you can find in your confirmation email, if you still have it. If not, navigate from your home folder to Library/ Preferences and double-click on the com.lucernesys.horizon.plist file. The serial number is the next line after 'HorizonSerialNumber' and starts with 'LUCSYSH000'.
- Proof of Purchase of Horizon 2 - a copy of the email receipt from the Mac App store is all that is needed here.
- A Paypal email address to receive the rebate. If you don't have, and don't want to get, a Paypal account that makes things a bit tricky, but contact us and we'll try to work something out.
